I bought some hobby packs of the 2022 Topps Series 1 a couple of months ago, trying to find a Wander Franco rookie card. However, I didn’t get any Wander Franco rookie cards. I truly want to get a Wander Franco rookie card, so I was checking online to see there were any good options.
Meanwhile, I was also thinking of buying some books on amazon. Thus, I decided to buy a blaster box of the 2022 Topps Series 1 and some books on amazon since the prices are affordable for me.
So, let’s see whether I got what I want.

Very unfortunately, I didn’t get any Wander Franco rookie cards in this blaster box. Hence, I might still have to buy another box to see if I’m lucky to get one Wander Franco rookie card. However, for me, the result was ok. It’s my first time opening a blaster box of Topps Series 1. And, it could be an option for me in the future.
Firstly, I never saw a royal blue parallel card before and adding a royal blue card into my collection wasn’t a bad idea. At least, I can find something that’s only available in retail packs.
Additionally, although I didn’t get a Wander Franco rookie card, a Shohei Ohtani medallion card was fine for me. Shohei Ohtani just won the 2021 AL MVP award and he’s surely a superstar that draws a lot of attention in America and Asia. I already saw some friends who are crazily collecting Ohtani cards.
Well, I will keep searching to see whether there are some good deals and hopefully, I can get a Wander Franco rookie card from this series. But, this is something fun in ripping baseball cards. You never know what you will get until you open those packs. Sometimes, you might be unhappy because you don’t get what you want. Sometimes, you might be extremely excited to get something you want or a great autograph card from your favorite player. That’s the joy of ripping baseball cards.
