Finally, it arrived

Better late than never? Well, I don’t know if this is the right sentence. But, in mid-February, the process is completed. I got the redemption card.

Last October, I wrote an article about the redemption status. Back then, there wasn't any concrete progress, and I really don’t expect to see this card ship soon.

So, I wrote an email to the Topps Customer Service and a staff member replied as below.

They didn’t have any updates and they didn't know when the card would be shipped. The customer service staff just asked me to provide the mailing address.

I replied to the email with my current address, which is the same as I put on the Topps website. Just a few days after I sent the email. A Customer Service Staff replied to the email and there weren’t any updates regarding the shipment of the redemption card.

In January, I sent an email again, trying to know if there are any updates regarding the redemption.

In early February, I got an email from the Topps Redemption Fulfillment. It indicated that the card is expected to ship soon and asked me to check whether the address is correct. Additionally, there was a link to check the details of the redemption shipment.

Below are the details of the redemption. So, you can see the order number, your address and the description of the card. For me, this looks good. I can see the details and make sure that the card is the right one to ship.

The next day, I got another email from the Topps Redemption Fulfillment. It showed that the card had been shipped. Moreover, there was a link, so I can track the status of the shipment.

After waiting for a few days, I got a call from a FedEx staffer and he told me that there was a package for me.

I got the package and couldn’t wait to open it. Well, in the envelope, there was a small envelope. The redemption card was in the small envelope. I opened the small envelope and saw the card and the receipt.

Well, from November 2020 to February 2024, I’d been waiting for this card for such a long time. I made several calls and wrote a lot of emails to check if there were some updates. Finally, the card arrived. Looking at the card, my first impression is that the card looks new and the autograph looks new.

I’m glad to get the card. However, it just took so long. For Topps, it’s certain that they can improve the redemption process. I understand that it takes time. Nonetheless, it doesn’t seem to be reasonable to wait for 2 or 3 years. Additionally, it seems that Customer Service staff really have nothing to do, but just reply that they are sorry for the delay. It will be helpful if the Topps can frequently update the redemption status and provide a clear timeframe to let collectors know when to receive the redemption cards.
