Coincidence?

Just a few days ago, I bought some lucky bags on an online sports card shop. In a lucky bag, an autograph card is guaranteed. For me, that product looks quite interesting. Hence, I decided to buy some.

After opening the first bag or the second one, I couldn’t stop laughing. I got an interesting autograph card. Well, again, I got a Connor Seabold autograph card. It’s the third Connor Seabold autograph card. While seeing this card, I quickly thought about some autograph cards from the same player.

Firstly, of course, let’s start with Connor Seabold autograph cards. The first Connor Seabold autograph card I have is from the 2022 Topps Gallery. I bought a mega box of the 2022 Topps Gallery and I found a Connor Seabold autograph card, which is a green parallel one, in the box. The other 2 autograph cards were found in lucky bag products. One is a 2018 Bowman Chrome autograph card and the other is from the 2022 Topps stadium club.

In addition, let’s look back at 2020. I was supposed to go to a friend’s office. But before that, I stopped by a sporting goods store. The 2020 Topps fire was just released and I bought some hobby packs. I found a Jonathan Loaisiga autograph card. It’s a rookie auto card, so I was glad to see it. A few weeks later, I went to my friend’s office again. We finished a meeting and I decided to get some food for dinner. I stopped by that sporting goods store again and bought a hobby pack of the 2020 Topps fire. Well, I got a Jonathan Loaisiga auto again. Yes, same shop, same auto. How could this happen?

Thirdly, it’s the 2020 Topps fire again. I went to a sports and recreation center with a friend. We went there for some batting practice. I saw some 2020 Topss fire hobby packs there and decided to get 3 packs. I found a Zach Plesac auto. And last year, I got another Zach Plesac auto from the 2020 Topps fire from a lucky bag. Well, the two autos look a bit different.

Finally, I got 3 Brad Keller autograph cards and all of them went from lucky bag products. The first one I found is from the 2019 Topps Gold Label. The second is from the 2019 Topps Chrome. The third one is from the 2019 Panini Leather & Lumber.

Collecting baseball cards is fun. As a collector, I like to have something interesting and something different. Nonetheless, something unexpected could happen. You might receive autograph cards that are signed by the same players. Well, for me, it’s ok. Nevertheless, I don’t want to call it weird. But all those cards are pitchers’ baseball cards. Normally, pitchers’ baseball cards are less valuable and I guess that’s the reason why the sports card shops put those cards in lucky bag products. I will still buy some lucky bags in the future. However, I really don’t know if I will have another autograph card that is signed by one of those players.
