So rare?

In early August, some lucky bags that I ordered arrived. After opening the second lucky bag, I found an interesting relic card. It’s a showcase sticks card from 2001 Fleer. The card contains a piece of an authentic game-used bat that was used by George Kell, who was inducted to the Hall of Fame in 1983.

2024 Topps Chrome

The 2024 Topps Chrome was released in mid-July. It always attracts collectors’ attention. This year, I ordered some hobby packs of the 2024 Topps Chrome on an online sports card shop. And those hobby packs arrived in early August.

After being traded

The 2024 MLB trade deadline was on July 30. Before the trade deadline, several teams were super busy making decisions. Additionally, many players were going to play for a new team.

Dangerous when runners in scoring position?

I was watching a game on TV, a batter was intentionally walked and the next batter was at bat. On the screen, it clearly showed that the batter hit well when runners are in scoring position in 2024.

How many starters?

A couple of days ago, I was just reading some tweets on X and a tweet mentioned a team’s usage of starting pitchers. In particular, that team already used 10+ pitchers to start a game this season.

It’s been 5 years

A few weeks ago, I was browsing on Facebook. I saw an interesting post. It showed the photos of some players that used to play for the Red Sox and the Dodgers. Of course, the Red Sox and the Dodgers are two franchises with rich histories. And there are several well-known players who used to play for these 2 teams.

The 2024 MLB All-Star game was over. It’s been around 1 month since the second half of the 2024 season began. After the All-Star break, which hitters have been hitting well?

Fast and slow

I checked on Instagram to see if there was something interesting. Then, I saw a player share a video that he was on the mound. Well, that player is a position player and he was on the mound because of some reasons.

Good on Tuesdays?

It was a Tuesday and I watched a baseball game on TV. A player hit a home run in the late innings. The next week, it was also on Tuesday, I watched a highlight and that player collected an important hit for his team to secure a win.

Good class?

A few weeks ago, I listened to a podcast show. In the show, 2 hosts were discussing the drafts. A host indicated that he would like to review the drafts over the last 3 years to see which teams actually did a better job.

Second half guy

Three weeks ago, I listened to a podcast show. A researcher indicated that a position player, who didn’t hit well before the All-Star break, would bounce back in the second half of the 2024 season. The researcher emphasized that the player has a rich history in hitting well after the All-Star break.
