2024 Allen and Ginter

The 2024 Topps Allen and Ginter was available in late October. In late November, I went to a sports recreational venue. My friend and I went there to play some baseball. In the venue, I saw that there was a value box of the 2024 Topps Allen and Ginter available. Well, I looked at that value box for a while before making a decision.

 

I bought a blaster box of the 2023 Allen and Ginter, however, I didn’t really like the result. That really made me think if I should buy a value box again. However, after thinking for a while, I decided to buy that value box of the 2024 Topps Allen and Ginter. A staffer asked me if I needed a scissor to open the box. But I decided to wait a bit. I opened it after arriving at the apartment.

 

And here’s what I got.

Rookie Design Variation: Jackson Holliday

Again, I didn’t find any hits in an Allen and Ginter value box. Well, I know that it’s not easy to find a hit in a value box. Nonetheless, this time, it’s interesting to find some Dodgers players cards. There’s a Will Smith short print card. Meanwhile, I found a Freddie Freeman mini card and it’s an Allen & Ginter back mini. Moreover, a Jackie Robinson chrome card is pretty cool. I didn’t find an Allen and Ginter chrome card in a hobby pack previously. Hence, it’s pretty fun to see a Jackie Robinson chrome card.

 

Interestingly, last year, I got a Gunnar Henderson rookie design variation card and this time, I got a Jackson Holliday rookie design variation card. So, I got 2 rookie design variation cards from Orioles players. Gunnar Henderson was the 2023 AL Rookie of the year award winner and was selected to the All-Star game in 2024. Jackson Holliday made it into the big leagues on April 10, 2024. However, he wasn’t off to a great start in his career. In the 2025 season, let’s keep watching if he will have a breakout season.
