2024 Topps stadium club

In early November, the 2024 Topps Stadium Club was released. A couple of weeks after this product was released, I ordered some hobby packs, trying to see if I could get some hits or cool rookie cards.

The great photography is always a key thing of the Stadium Club product. Interestingly, this time, there are more chrome cards in this brand. Back in 2023, there was only 1 chrome card in a hobby box. This year, you can find a chrome card in each hobby pack.

I opened those hobby packs that I ordered and found an interesting card. It’s a Giancarlo Stanton black and white card. I checked the odds of this card, it seems that the odds are 1:49. So, it’s not bad to get this card.

On the front of this card, it clearly showed that Stanton flipped his bat. And seeing this card, I just recalled his performance in the postseason.

Stanton did hit well this postseason, slashing .273/.339/.709 with 7 home runs and 16 RBI in 14 games. His OPS was over 1.000 this postseason. Stanton was outstanding in the 2024 postseason. Looking at his stats, I’m just wondering if he’s the best hitter in the Yankees lineup in the recent postseasons.

To solve my doubts, I decided to check on the great Fangraphs website.

Finally, let’s look at OPS. Harrison Bader hit well in the 2022 postseason, slashing .333/.429/.833 with 5 home runs and 6 RBI in 9 games. His OPS was over 1.000. And this postseason, Juan Soto’s OPS was over 1.000. Soto slashed .327/.469/.633 with 4 home runs and 9 RBI in 14 games in the 2024 playoffs. Meanwhile, Stanton has an OPS over .900 so far in the postseason. Greg Bird played for the Yankees from 2015 to 2019 and had an OPS over .900 in the playoffs.

So, looking at these 10 postseasons, Giancarlo Stanton might be the most trustworthy hitter in the Yankees lineup. In particular, in the 2020 postseason and this postseason, he’s probably the best hitter in the Yankees lineup. Since he’s not going to be a free agent soon, we can keep watching how he will contribute to the Yankees in the postseason. Well, of course, the team has to clinch a postseason berth first.
